In the mean time, I am going to say adios to the happybendgirl blog! It has been fun, but I have been too busy to write anything creative for you guys! BUT right around the move date (sometime this summer), I will be starting a new blog, maybe with a little different theme! If you want me to notify you when it is up and running, just shoot me an email.  And if you are one of my friends who only reads this becuase I make you read my blog, don’t worry, I will harrass you with emails about the next one whether you want them or not.  It’s been fun! See you in the fall!

I was sending my VERY STRONGEST brain waves over to my daughter to remain calm and don’t say ANYTHING.  She opened her mouth with shock and said, “OHHH!  I wouldn’t do that!!!…..(n000000… don’t say it!) He bites!”  Pheww!!! So I pulled Piper away and finished paying.  But the sweet old lady continued to ooh and awe over Piper.  And again, she started having him kiss her all over her mouth trying to prove to Cupcake that he doesn’t bite!  At this point, I am getting totally freaked out–not by the poop kisses (can’t she smell it?!) but by the fact that if Cupcake lets our secret out at this point, I am going to look like a total tool.  So just as my wide-eyed Cupcake is opening her her big smiling mouth to tell this lady who-knows-what, I yanked on Piper’s leash, pinched Cupcake and turned us all alround practically running out the door.  Close call.

That, by the way, is a small glimpse into the spectacle of a vet visit we had today.  We are always a spectacle when the 3 of us are together.  Sort of like a storm blowing into a small peaceful village.

You know its true.

Ok, I’ll admit that I am watching Biggest Loser, and surprisingly I don’t have some sort of candy or ice cream product in my hand while furiously doing sit-ups.  Anywhoosy, in a previous post I had sort of mentioned that the (former) pink team mom looked like a poodle.  Now, I like this lady, and I am truly not trying to be mean.  But a poodle just isn’t it.  But I TOTALLY figured it out.  Brace yourself.  Now cover your ears.  She looks like a troll doll.  Exactly.  If she just pulled that blond hair straight up you could just plop her right on top of your number two pencil.  Ok, I’ll shut up now. But really.  Frickin hysterical.  Love, me.

If you have read the About This Girl section on this blog, you will know that for years I have had no IDEA what to do with my life.  I couldn’t really answer the question in college, when it came down to it, either.  It makes it even an even harder decision for me, because we have an only child.  I have heard stories of only children being totally lonely after school because their parents were working and come home, go to bed early and the kiddo is alone all the time.  Well, I DON’T go to bed early, but don’t want my baby to be lonely.  So that is the guilt I feel.  And my other issue is that I went to college for about 4 years full time, including summers, and have no degree.  Ahem.  That stems from my indecisiveness at choosing a major.  A little more guilt.

I wouldn’t say I am a guilt ridden person…at all.  BUT this area of a career is sort of a hang up I have had.  Until now.  Now, I have found it.  I figured it out, and I am so excited.  It will be perfect for me, fun for me, and a perfect solution to my only child problem! :o)  Check out the new business I am working on, Chelsea G Photography, at www.chelseagphoto.com.  I am giving myself about six months until I start charging, but right now while I practice, all of my shoots are free.  I have had a blast doing this by the way.

1.  The fact that Cupcake and I have a daily session or two of sitting accross from each other, both using our laptops.

2.  The fact that Cupcake (ALMOST 5) is in love with all Tim Burton movies.  Coraline and the Corpse Bride being her favorites.

3.  The fact that I enjoy pretending the be the “OTHER Mother.” heheheeh

4.  The fact that Cupcake draws skeletons, mummies, and ghouls with bloody stumps– and has convinced me to have monsters and ghouls drawing sessions with her.  They ARE good drawings.

5.  The fact that I have caught myself more than once having to tell Cupcake that the scary drawings will not fly in school.

6.  The fact that today I bribed Cupcake with two dumb-dumb suckers to go play upstairs so I could sleep get an hour of extra sleep.  I HAD stayed up super late.  Ouch!

7.  The fact that I usually end up throwing away the gazillions of drawings Cupcake makes at school in the outside trash so she won’t notice.  I KNOW.  But there are gazillions.

There you go.  I said it.  I have more.  But that’s all you get today.

Me:  Piper pooped in your office, lol.

Oh, the hubs is a good man I tell you.  Good man.

Graham Crackers.  Milk Chocolate Chips.  Marshmallows. I love marshmallows.

First, lay one graham on plate.  Cover in milk chocolate chips.

Then pile on as many marshmallows as you can possible get to balance on the chocolate.

Now, put this in the microwave for 15-30 seconds until marshmallows poof and chocolate is getting soft.  Plop the other graham on top and eat.  Enjoy it girl.  You will hate yourself in about 3 minutes.

1.  I love Abercrombie T-shirts because they are hot.

2.  I love the SMELL of the Abercrombie Store.

3.  I love the smell of the T-shirts when I bring them home from the store.

4.  One day I asked the Abercrombie workers, what was the smell on the clothing, and how did it get there.

5.  Girl said the smell is Fierce cologne for men.  Boy showed me little sprayers near the ceiling that spray the cologne all day long.

6.  Dorky mom me, said Oooohh! I have been wondering that for soooo long! Do any girls ever buy it to wear!!?

7.  Cool girl, says…ummmmm…….

8.  Cool girl then admits that she sometimes sprays it on her bed.  mmm hmmm.

8.  Boy says, I hate it.  It makes us have headaches and we all feel sick by closing time.

9.  Dorky-mom-me buys it “for my husband.”

10.  Dorky-mom-me sprays it all over me to smell like a new Abercrombie Tshirt.  Wow.  Way TOO MUCH.

11.  Sexy-mama-me gets a clue and sprays it on hubster and melts at the scent of it.  Sexy mama LOOOOOVES Fierce.

12.  It never gets old.

13.  Dorky-mom/Sexy-mama also spray it on the bed like a girl in junior high from time to time.  mmmm hmmmm. Watch out.

14.  Sexy mama/Dorky mama both recommend this cologne for the man in your life.  Buy it for them, do it for you! Classy huh.

15.  If there are any stray males who have accidentally landed on this site and have somehow managed to make it through to the end of this post, do yourself a favor and go buy some Fierce from Abercrombie and Fitch.

The Easter eggs?  Well, Cupcake places those by a metal rooster that stands on our hearth.  Then she proceeds to gather eggs in her basket (it’s a painful job) and cook some up for Cowboy Sam (that would be me).  Cowboy Sam is always in a conundrum.  He never has a basket to gather eggs, but he REALLY wants eggs.  Cowgirl Sal solves it by bringing her basket.  Cowboy Sam REALLY wants to eat the eggs, but doesn’t have a fire to cook them over.  Cowgirl Sal can save the day.  Cowboy Sam needs salt on his eggs, but has none.  Well, of course Sal can make gather nectar from a plant and make some.  This is how Cowgirl Sal works. Git er done.

And the computer?  Cowgirl Sal loves to type.  So she always types up notes for Sam and the Ranch.  Click click clickty click.  Type type type while you talk, Sal.

So, as I was checking on my sound-asleep little Cowgirl Sal before I went to bed, she was the cutest little sleeping cowgirl ever.  Sleeping Cupcakes are my very very favorite kind.  In fact, I think she is so cute as she sleeps, that I take a picture of her sleeping almost every night.  But, she was hot.  So when I whispered to her “let’s take off your buckskins” she said in her very best teenager voice, “I can do what I WANT, MOMMM.”

Now the teenager-four-year-old should NEVER come out at night…sleep-talking or not.  We get to see plenty of that during the day.  So this was a total jolt to my system.  Come back, Cowgirl Sal.  Come back to the ranch and gather your eggs!  And for now, I will just read my post about rocking my sweet thing at night and count on the fact that this was just a fluke.  Maybe it is bad luck to sleep in your buckskins.

PPS.  I should probably combine wet and dry ingredients separately, but come on, they’re pancakes.  One bowl, all ingredients.  Stir.  Cook.  Eat.  Ski.

Ski Mama’s Brown Sugar Oatmeal Pancakes

1 egg, beaten

2 T. oil

1 c. milk

1/2 c. wheat flour

1/2 c. white flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/3 c. brown sugar, packed

1/2 c + 2 T quick oats

Combine ingredients, and cook pancakes as desired.  There you have it.  Send me your pics if you want!
